LeMoyne College Men’s Soccer, in conjunction with the Northstars Soccer Club, is proud to announce the 1st Annual Futsal Frenzy hosted at LeMoyne College on Saturday, January 11th and Sunday, January 12th, 2020. Birth years 2008-2012 (Under 8-12) Boys & Girls Divisions will compete on Saturday. Birth years 2001-2007 (Under 13-18/High School) Boys & Girls Divisions will compete on Sunday.
Please consider signing your team(s) up for this tournament. Deadline for entrance is January 2, 2020. Please take advantage of our Early Bird Registration Pricing of $250 – a $50 discount! With limited court space we expect spots to fill fast! Don’t miss out! Simply print the attached flyer, fill out bottom application section, and mail in to the PO Box with your check payment.
Why Futsal? This event is sure to spice up your teams indoor routine and cure the winter blues! Futsal is a fun, fast-paced game, played indoors (no walls), using a slightly smaller low-bounce ball. Rapid action, quick moves, pin-point passing, lots of scoring and lots of touches on the ball! Futsal is ideal for skills development and team play and creativity in small space. Players are also much less likely to face injury related to physical play because it is largely not allowed in this finesse game. No wonder why Futsal is the fastest growing soccer training method in the world!
Why our event? Your team will have the unique privilege of competing on LeMoyne College's indoor Athletic & Recreation Complex for the day. Our scheduling committee will bracket teams according to their level of play in order to provide the most exciting and competitive tournament experience possible. All club, travel and premier teams are welcome and will be grouped accordingly. Our tournament appeals to teams in and around CNY so you don’t have to travel far inorder to get a quality futsal tournament experience during snowy winter months.
